Thank you for contacting Steam Support. If you are running in Windows Vista or Windows 7, please completely exit Steam, and right-click on the shortcut which you use to launch Steam and select "Run as Administrator." If you are running in Windows XP, take the following steps: 1) Exit Steam.
Sometimes the Download Servers might be the issue when it comes to not being able to download or install Far Cry 5. Simply try and change your content provider by : Steam > Settings > Downloads. From here you can change your download provider. Simply try a different region and then re-download the game files.
AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT (sienna_cichlid, LLVM 13.0.1, DRM 3.44, 5.17.5-76051705-generic) AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core. Very light frame cuts once every 5-10s during more intense scenes, otherwise runs smoothly and without issues. Does not launch on CPUs with more than 12 Cores. I have a 5950X which has 16 Cores.
Hi, i am unable to play far cry 4 through steam family sharing even though i have access to the owners uplay account. when trying to launch from uplay, steam will say that the game is running.
check your backround applications many can cause the game to fail on launch .. things like Discord .. and there is also a list in the tips secrtion pinned up top of this forum see section #10 of Known apps that can cause this due to too many in game overlays. If you continue to have issues PLEASE.
Open the steam overlay while in game, if there is a key it will be there. You don't get any. There is no more any Keys for Ubisoft games on Steam. I launch the game from steam. Ubisoft connect pops up asking for a key. Like I said, you don't get any, there is no more keys been given for Ubisoft games on Steam. Use Google !
Looking back on my experience as a Far Cry 5 Star_Player, I recall there was an issue on the Xbox side of things for that game. The issue dragged on for several months & Support kinda gave up on having it fixed. Yet, in the end, someone apparently did track down the issue & it was stealth-fixed overnight. Maybe something similar is happening here.
Verify your game files and let the game create the user config files it needs to. if you still have a problem contact UBI support DIRECTLY and open a support ticket. i have the game installed here on more then 3 different computers with no problems. System 1. DELL DIMENSION MODEL E 520

Day Walker Jun 24, 2017 @ 10:34am. When looking at your steam library, right click on Far Cry Primal then click properties. When in the properties menu, click on the local files tab, when on that select "Verify file integrity." This worked for me for another game, not sure if it will work for you. #7.

What I noticed worked was running Steam in administrator mode. To do this, shut down Steam through task manager, find the Steam app/desktop app, right click it and run it as admin. That worked for me. If it doesn't, browse Far Cry's local files, go to "bin" and set all of the FarCry5 exe's to administrator priviliges in properties >compatibility.
Run as Administrator: Launch the game with administrator rights. This gives the game proper access and might prevent crashes or freezes. Check for corrupted or missing game files that might be causing the game to not launch. You can do this through platforms like Epic Games Launcher, Steam, or Ubisoft Connect.
uplay works perfectly here and there are over 3000 ppl in game right now on steam alone again Steam is not the primary digitital distribution outlet for FarCry 3 4 Primal and far cry 5 Uplay is dunno if you are aware but STEAM itself is DRM valve charges a publisher a % of each sale to distribute games on Steam
Mad Max and Far Cry 5 New Dawn. I tried everything thus far. Reinstalling and all that. Even tried the WIN11 method. Still the same issue. I saw online where it is mentioned that some games do not do not work well with the E-cores of this CPU and even has a list of games that aren't working with WIN10 and 11 with this CPU.
Originally posted by Category Theory: Ensure not only that Far Cry 3 is not running, but also that Uplay is not running. That may help. Regardless, it's a good idea, if you haven't done it already, to uninstall Uplay from your system and re-install the latest version downloaded from Ubisoft. Steam tends to install an old version of Uplay that RPYSN0T.
