Hesitationis an understatement, the engine hates being floored at low RPMs. Throttle control for smooth acceleration is a skill most 2.2 JTS owners have had to learn and accept. In traffic, the 159 with the Selespeed gearbox can be a handful. As I’ve said, the transmission is nowhere as smooth as a good slushbox.
